Including children with disabilities in humanitarian action website.

'Including Children with disabilities in humanitarian action' is the first global resource released by the Disabilities Section of UNICEF's Programme Division. The resource consists of a series of booklets as well as an accessible website.
My role in this project was primarily as graphic designer and web developer. I worked with UNICEF's Department of Communications, using its global style guidelines, to produce a look and feel that was used across both web and print resources. The content within the resources was quite dense - with different sections of content being relevant to different audiences. I consulted with content specialists to devise an information categorization system to facilitate quick access to relevant information by different types of users. As these resources were designed for a global audience, great care was taken to create illustrations that reflected this diversity.
Universal design guided much of the design effort including the design of the web resource and digital assets. I worked closely with accessibility experts to ensure these resources were accessible and compliant.
