A new addition to my Upon Reflection series. Much of my earlier life was spent participating in athletics. The nice thing about sports is it's very clear where you stand - Did you win? Did you have the furthest jump, the fastest time? But life outside of sport is much more opaque. One is never truly sure how good they actually are (or if it even matters). Success is determined by a myriad of factors typically outside of ones control. I suppose the path to 'success' relies in large part on ones ability to manage this feeling of uncertainty.
